The ball bearing on my rear wheel recently started making some terrible noise and didn't spin freely, so I knew that I needed to get it replaced. I was going to do it myself, but through a comedy of errors, I ended up buying the wrong part and not having the right tool to remove the bearing, so I ended up calling Haglin. I told them what I thought was wrong (I might have conveniently omitted the part about trying and failing to replace it myself) and made an appointment.I brought my car in and they called me back in a few hours and said that they'd confirmed that I needed the bearing replaced (so it turns out I'm not completely clueless!) They gave me a quote which sounded fair and we discussed a few other things about the vehicle as well. They did try to upsell me on some other routine maintenance (my check engine light is on, my oil needs to replaced soon and my brake pads are getting close to needing replaced) but I declined. I never felt pressured to get this other service and appreciated that they offered to take a look.By the end of the day, my car was fixed and I picked it up. The terrible noise is gone, and now I get to be paranoid about all of the other engine noises that were being drowned out before. They even called me back a few days later to make sure that everything was good and to thank me.
