
From Breck, you’re continuing almost directly north to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, elevation 6,732 feet. The COVID update in this community is requiring visitors to wear masks at all times, so be sure to do so during your 2020 summer visit.

While in town, you’ll want to stop at Strawberry hot springs, tube the river, hike to Fish Creek Falls, and if you’re really goin’ after a good time golf at Haymaker.
Strawberry hot springs is a beautiful place to take a dip in town. If you got for a one day trip, this hot springs should be at the top of your list. One thing to note, as the sun goes down, the pools become “clothing optional” so plan you visit during the appropriate time of day for your comfort zone.

If you’re spending more than one day in town, you’ll also want to tube the Yampa River. Things to remember when tubing: wear some shoes with straps, don’t forget your sunscreen, bring a rope if you want to ride the waves with friends or family nearby, and a PDF or lifejacket is suggested. Of course, practice “leave no trace” and read through these suggestions to ensure you’re prepared for this feat.
Fish Creek Falls is the hike suggested for this land. Sitting at 7,500 feet elevation this easy-to-find trail is an easy to moderate beauty you’ll want to experience yourself.
